Percival Schuttenbach is a Polish folk metal band blending the raw energy of metal with the rich heritage of Slavic folk music. Formed in 1999 by musicians Mikołaj Rybacki and Katarzyna Bromirska, the band takes its name from a character in The Witcher series by Andrzej Sapkowski, reflecting their deep connection to folklore and fantasy. Known for their fusion of heavy guitar riffs, traditional Polish instruments, and medieval-inspired melodies, Percival Schuttenbach has gained international recognition, particularly through their contributions to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt soundtrack. Their unique sound, which intertwines folk storytelling with powerful metal arrangements, has captivated audiences across Europe and beyond. Balancing historical themes with the intensity of the metal genre, Percival Schuttenbach continues to push the boundaries of folk metal, making them one of Poland’s most distinctive and celebrated bands in the genre.
